Yes, consensus among Islamic scholars (including the Hanbali, Shafi’i, and Hanafi schools) affirms that proxy Umrah is permissible on behalf of deceased Muslims and those who suffer from permanent physical incapacity (such as chronic debilitating illness or severe old age). It is required that the performer has already performed obligatory pilgrimage on their own behalf.
Two categories are eligible under Sharia rules: (1) Deceased Muslims who passed away before performing Umrah or whose family wishes to dedicate voluntary Umrah to them, and (2) Living individuals who are permanently unable to travel to Makkah and perform rites due to medically certified chronic illness or advanced age.
No. If an individual has a temporary illness from which recovery is expected, or if they face temporary travel/financial obstacles, proxy pilgrimage is not valid according to majority scholarly opinion. They must wait until they are able to perform it themselves.
Performers undergo a thorough vetting process: they must be verified residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, submit valid identification, certify under pledge that they have already performed Umrah for themselves, and demonstrate knowledge of Sunnah rites and Talbiyah requirements.
The performer records multimedia documentation at each major milestone: (1) Vocalizing the proxy intention (Talbiyah) mentioning the beneficiary by name at the Miqat, (2) Documenting Tawaf around the Holy Kaaba, (3) Documenting Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and (4) Concluding with Halq/Taqsir hair trimming. Once verified by supervisors, proofs appear in the requester’s dashboard.
When a requester submits payment, the funds are securely held in an escrow holding account. The performer does not receive any disbursement until all ritual stages are fully executed, verified by Sharia supervisors, and the certificate is endorsed.
In the rare event that a performer is unable to complete the rituals due to an emergency or failure to provide acceptable evidence, the assignment is immediately reassigned to another qualified performer, or the full escrow amount is refunded to the requester.
Each issued certificate contains a unique 64-character cryptographic verification token. Anyone can enter this token into our public verification portal at website/verify-certificate.php to view the official confirmation and verify authenticity.
For a deceased beneficiary: an official death certificate or government burial permit. For an incapacitated beneficiary: an official medical report from an accredited hospital stating permanent physical inability to travel and perform rites.
Yes. During request submission, you can enter custom supplications and prayers. These are communicated directly to the assigned performer to recite during Tawaf, at the Multazam, and upon the hills of Safa and Marwah.
Preliminary review typically takes 24 to 48 hours. Execution depends on the preferred period chosen (urgent requests can be executed within a few days; seasonal requests such as Ramadan are scheduled accordingly).
Inaba operates in strict alignment with Saudi regulations governing digital services and pilgrimage assistance, enforcing transparent governance and audited records.
Each Umrah request corresponds to a single beneficiary, as Sharia dictates that one performer cannot perform proxy Umrah for more than one person simultaneously. However, you can save multiple beneficiaries in your account directory and submit separate requests conveniently.
Requests can be cancelled as long as they have not yet been assigned to a performer or commenced field execution. Once a performer has begun rites at the Miqat, cancellation is not possible under Sharia rules governing the state of Ihram.
